I held his hand just like any other day but he wouldn’t let go, he asked me to just stay with him, in silence because he didn’t want to be alone. Little did I know I’d never hold my best friend’s hand again. Little did I know I’d never hug or see my dad again. I was alone with him right till the end. I was 16 and my entire world changed. My dad was gone. He was only ‘young’ but it was his time to go. Lucky for me whilst I felt alone, I wasn’t, I have a home, a family, food, and safety. Many children around the world, know none of this. Orphans struggle, every day, alone with no food, no clean water, and no hope.
