The Islamic faith puts a great emphasis on the care of orphans. In the Hadith, which is the record of Muhammad‘s sayings and actions, it is said that those who take care of an orphan will be rewarded in the afterlife. According to the Hadith, it is written that Muhammad said: “I and the one who looks after an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and then he held up two of his fingers together.
The Hadith also teaches that those who mistreat or neglect orphans will be punished. Muhammad said: “He who does not show mercy to our young ones, or acknowledge the rights of our old ones, is not one of us.” This is a warning to those who do not care for orphans, and a reminder that it is important to treat them with love and respect. The Hadith also encourages Muslims to help orphans with their basic needs.
Muhammad said: “The best house among the Muslims is one which contains an orphan who is well treated, and the worst house among the Muslims is one which contains an orphan who is badly treated.” This teaches Muslims to ensure that orphans are provided with the best care possible. The Hadith also teaches Muslims to be generous to orphans, and to share their wealth with them. Muhammad said: “Whoever takes care of an orphan will be with me in Paradise like this,” and then he held up two of his fingers together. This encourages Muslims to be generous with the orphans in their lives, and to share the blessings that Allah has given them.
