Sadaqah Jariyah Hadith

the Messenger of Allah said: "When a man dies all his good deeds come to an end except three: Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who prays for him."

Sadaqah Jariyah is a term used in Islamic tradition to describe a deed or charity that brings constant reward and benefit, even after the death of its donor. The concept of Sadaqah Jariyah was first mentioned in the Hadith, a collection of sayings attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In one Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “When a man passes away, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendent who prays for him (the deceased).” The concept of Sadaqah Jariyah encourages Muslims to invest in good deeds that will continue to benefit them, even after their death. Examples of Sadaqah Jariyah include building or repairing a mosque, donating to a charity or cause, or helping to educate an orphan. These deeds will continue to bring reward, even after the donor has passed away.

The concept of Sadaqah Jariyah serves as a reminder to Muslims to invest in deeds that will bring long-term benefits, and to try to leave a legacy that will continue to benefit others even after they are gone.
