Sickness Dua For Health Recovery

رَبِّ اَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الْأَسْقَامِ

"My Lord, I seek refuge in You from leprosy and madness and from evil ulceration, and from the worst of diseases."

Sahih al-Bukhari 5667, Book 79, Hadith 4

A sickness dua is a prayer that is used to ask Allah for health and a recovery from sickness. It is a form of supplication and expression of the believers faith in Allah and His power to heal. The dua is usually recited when someone is ill, or before and after a medical procedure, to seek Allahs protection and mercy. The following is an example of a sickness dua: O Allah, I seek Your help and protection from all sickness and disease. O Allah, I ask You to grant me perfect health and to cure me of all my ailments. O Allah, I ask You to grant me strength and resilience to recover quickly. O Allah, I ask You to grant me peace of mind and body so that I may be able to perform my daily tasks with ease. O Allah, I ask You to grant me a speedy recovery and bless me with perfect health and strength. AameEN. In addition to this dua, Muslims are encouraged to also turn to physicians and other medical experts for advice and help, as Allah has given them the knowledge and ability to help others. The dua is not meant to be a replacement for medical treatment, but rather a way of expressing ones faith in Allah and seeking His help in times of need.

Eternal Aid is a Leading Charity based in the United Kingdom, working across the globe.

A group of volunteers came together on this charity initiative and spent the next few years supporting various campaigns and appeals across the world.

These volunteers were inspired by the depths of deprivation and need, as well as the opportunity to make a significant difference to communities all over the globe in desperate circumstances.
