How Many Prophets Are There In Islam

A long time ago, when people lost their way worshipping idols, mistreating others, and forgetting about Allah, he sent prophets to guide them.ย

These prophets werenโ€™t just wise men; they were chosen by Allah to teach people what was right. Some were loved, while others were rejected. Some performed miracles, and others faced great hardships.ย

But every single one of them had the same message: โ€œWorship only Allah, be kind, and do good deeds.โ€

Allah tells us in the Quran: “And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], โ€˜Worship Allah and avoid false godsโ€™โ€ฆโ€ (Quran 16:36)

How Many Prophets Are There In Islam And Their Namesย

Allah mentions the names of 25 Prophets in the Quran. Letโ€™s journey through their lives briefly.ย

1. Adam (AS) โ€“ The First Man and First Prophet

Imagine waking up in a beautiful garden, surrounded by rivers, trees, and animals, but with no one else around. That was Adam (AS). He was the very first human Allah created.ย

To show how special he was, Allah taught him the names of everything, something even the angels didnโ€™t know!

But Adam (AS) wasnโ€™t alone for long. Allah created a wife for him: Hawwa, so he wouldnโ€™t feel lonely. They lived happily in Jannah, with everything they could ever need. But there was one rule: Donโ€™t eat from a certain tree.

Then came Iblis, the devil. He whispered to them, โ€œThis tree will make you live forever.โ€ Adam (AS) and Hawwa made a mistake. They ate from it. Right away, they felt ashamed.ย

They asked Allah for forgiveness, and He forgave them, but they had to leave Jannah and go to Earth.

Adam (AS) was the first man and the first prophet. Now letโ€™s look at the prophets who came after Adam (AS).ย
